Analysis of Work of the Police Officers: The Ethical Aspects
To begin with, in today’s fast moving world we face many crimes just because some people do not follow the law. That is why we have police and the most favorite and new hobby and it is actually judging police actions.
Speaking about training officers, i would like them always to be smart and patient. I will explain to them that being patient is one of the most important things in the police. As a matter of fact, if you are too impulsive you will never be able to help and save someone. More that, sometimes all you need to do is to wait for a criminal to show up and it will definitely be hard for those who opens the door without a permission. Secondly, i would like to stress a point that it is important for the officer to respect everyone and do not think that if you are an officer you can offend someone. The reason is that besides police breaking doors and entering your apartment, people have their own problems. That is to say that people are getting angry and as a result, they hate the police because they have bad associations. As for me, first of all, i will give young officers some task, which requires patience and good communicative skills such as solving problems in the family or at school. I am convinced that it will teach them how to deal not just with people’s but their own problems as well. No doubt, these changes will diminish the possibility that officers will not follow the rules or etiquette.
Nevertheless, i have the second problem to solve and it is controlling and monitoring. Fortunately, i know what to do in this situation. Basically, i will allow everybody to call the police and complain about someone, but only if he/she has a good reason. In addition, i will cut officers salary if they are rude or not competent with people and people were actually insulted with no reason.
All in all, that is the way in which i will fix this problem. There is no doubt in my mind that it will work but people have to remember that police want to help everybody and we have to cooperate and help each …
