Company Status Update
Hilton Worldwide being one of the most famous and attended networks of hotels offering a possibility to stay for either one night or have full-scale luxurious vacation on the territory of the company’s resorts and hotels and acts under a number of brands. The history of the Hilton Empire traces back to the beginning of the 20th century with the activation of tourism as such empowered by the significant industrial developments of the means of transportation and the arisen need of the tourism market to respond to the new trends. The person who perfectly reacted in his business decisions to the changing nature of the tourism as a sphere of economic activity was Conrad Hilton, who bought his first hotel in 1919.
Throughout the years the company has been a relentless innovator and contributor the client’s comfort with global aspirations. Years after years, Hilton Worldwide has been proving its uniqueness, consistency, and
orientation on the clients’ needs by implementing innovative technologies to guarantee the best possible experience for their clients. In the early 1900s company received credit for establishing the cold running water and air-conditioning in public areas of the company’s first hotel in Waco, Texas ("The History Of Hilton Hotels And Resorts"). From 1940s the development of the hotels’ facilities were even more prominent, starting
from the installation of the television in all of the guests rooms of the Roosevelt Hilton in New York City and right to the introduction of the multi-hotel reservations system ("The History Of Hilton Hotels And Resorts"). With having pioneered the airport hotel concept and introduced the guest loyalty program, Hilton Hotels has become nothing but a coast-to-coast tourists’ dream. The company has already made mark in the globally competitive hotels’ industry by being the first both Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) and Green Seal certified company in the world and also launching a number of vital concepts such as the program for Chinese travelers abroad and the Herb N’ Kitchen dining concept ("History And Heritage | Hilton Worldwide").
With the company operating on the number of international markets with a wide range of services offered, the company structure can be described as a highly diversified and complex one with a number of geographic divisions and brands resembling the matrix structure model though with a numerous adjustments to the business peculiarities and specifications.
