Understanding career development theories, at what stage would you say that the client’s problems began?

Based on the main peculiarities of Super’s Model of the Career Development, June’s problems began at the stage of Establishment. The client has specified that she has worked as an Army Sergeant for a long time. More than that, she planned to work as an Army Sergeant for a longer time. However, she was in the process of being discharged due to the brain injury and stress disorder that followed the injury. She was embarrassed and stressed due to the fact that she could not establish her career. She had little experience in the area of a civilian job. As a result, the client could not adapt to the changes that occurred in her life.

What assessment tools would you use with this client?

First and foremost, it will help June realize that the knowledge and experience that she has obtained during the period of studying at college and her military experience proves already that she is a very talented person. Therefore, she should feel enthusiastic about other talents that she has. The Strong Interest Inventory would help the client to realize that she is an artistic and sociable personality. The only thing that she needs is to have a strong desire to look for possible career opportunities. The Strong Interest Inventory would encourage the client to …
