Identity Analysis

Analysis of my identity is a difficult subject for writing. Having read researches connected with this subject, I can analyze my roles in society and the changes related to the residence and communication with other people. I want to express the opinion on problems which I faced in several situations. The more time I lived and studied in the USA, the more new facts I learned about myself, about people surrounding me and their attitude towards me.

My experience of identity issues and its theoretical explanations

The first problem about which I read is immigration. This topic concerns me, too. My first identification is the person from the foreign country. I had no problems with immigration service, but I was struck by a problem of Mexicans. Anzaldua stated that "Today thousands of Mexicans are crossing the border legally and illegally and ten million people without documents have returned to the Southwest"(11). Today we observe the same problem which the government needs to solve together with residents of the country. The fact of having a child should not raise the status of a person in society. As a woman and future mother, I must have an opportunity to make decisions about the birth of the child paying attention to economic, social and family factors by myself.

Thirdly, while living and studying in America, I become the carrier of culture and ideas. I learned about many new social practices, and I changed the way of thinking. When I went back to China for a holiday, I felt a little distant from my culture. It can be explained that "most societies try to get rid of their deviants" (Anzaldua 18). I understand that there it was told about homosexuality, but the deviant behavior is the broad sphere of life and changes. The changes were not radical, mainly in my way of thinking and perception of different practices and traditions. I was afraid that my changes would not be accepted by my family or friends. I had stories which could cause misunderstanding among my friends, a story about …
