A Personal Statement

I believe that every person represents a complex mixture of socio-cultural heritage, unique experiences, skills, knowledge, and approach to education. As an international student, I truly value an opportunity to learn and understand the principles of the US law and the legal system, which will help me to grow both professionally and intellectually. Applying for an LL.M. degree at the Moritz College of Law in the United States, I want to develop a specialized set of knowledge, improve my social and language skills, and obtain valuable international legal training, provided by the program. Using my former experiences and skills, the LL.M. degree will help me to learn the mechanisms and peculiarities of the international legal market and related challenges.

After high school graduation, I have passed my Fazil Punhabi and Intermediate (F.A.) examination from the board of Intermediate and Secondary Education in Lahore. I have earned my Bachelor in Arts degree from the University of Punjab, Pakistan, and also received my Bachelor in Law (LL.B.) degree from the same University. In addition, I received a certificate from the Government College University in Lahore, which was a joint venture with Punjab Forensic Science Agency. Obtaining my LL.B. degree, I joined the Qadri Law Firm as an apprentice. I enrolled as an Advocate of Subordinate Courts and as an Advocate of High Courts.

I sincerely believe that Moritz College of Law will help me to bring my prior experiences and knowledge in order, and will advance my legal education. I want to dive into the ocean of legal studies and satisfy my thirst of knowledge of legal principles and different methods of work. What makes Moritz College of Law especially precious to me is a temporal structure of the program, which expands over a year of time, providing me with an opportunity to understand how the legal system, court structure, legal relations, and globalization work in various circumstances and environments. Being exposed to law, new challenges, and a different culture, I will ultimately develop the skills of applying relevant provisions of law uniquely and professionally in my law practice. As an international student living in Columbus, Ohio, I want to make an important contribution to society, using my prior experiences, knowledge, and a great cultural heritage. I am certain that Moritz is the best option for making all of it possible, as it is a caring community with individual attention to the students, respect, understanding, and unbiased support. I am hoping to grow both as a personality and a professional. Obtaining my Master's Degree and passing the US Bar exams, I am planning to practice as an Attorney in the United States.

I want to give back to the country and its people and use my skills for an important social impact, contributing to cultural diversity of the United States. Using my unique background and perceptions, I truly value voluntary and community …
