Park Avenue: Money, Power & the American Dream, directed by an Academy Award-winning filmmaker Alex Gibney, is a powerful film that depicts social and economic gap between American citizens.

Income disparity has been accelerating over the past years, and it resulted in a huge gap between rich and poor in America. Alex Gibney describes the vivid contrast on the evident example of New York City residents. The expanding class of billionaires is concentrated on the Upper East Side, a couple of miles away from the South Bronx, the poorest district in the city. Gibney analyzes the absurd situation and describes the way the billionaires manage to become even richer. Comparing Manhattan to South Bronx in a perfect example of the major drawback of a capitalist society. The author addresses the issue to make the viewers more aware of the situation.
