Personal Philosophy
My background and personal experience have shaped my personal thinking and philosophy as I am able to see issues in different perspective. Born from a religious family, I was taught to respect elders, trust in God, and obedient. This background shaped my understanding of many issues as I embraced Christian teaching and principles. I believe that my personal philosophy has been being the honest, generous, kind, and helpful
person in the society. Developing and encouraging people has helped me to understand the essence of counseling and teaching them on making informed decisions. Life has taught me to understand that each person is equipped with innate ability to face challenges that hinder their growth. I have helped many of my friends to face anxiety, fear, and depression since many youths have lost hope in life. This cripples normal developmental patterns of human life; arguably, life entails changing, growing, and finding new ideas.
At campus, I have learned that life is scary, intriguing, mysterious and meaningless when we fail to make rational decisions. Things started to take a new direction after joining campus as an influence to party and do
drugs became overwhelming. These qualities life can be contradictory, ambiguous and unsettling. These experiences have enabled me to become a mentor to young people as I underscore essence of leading a righteous life. The energy that I receive from young people that I have mentored have helped me to refocus on the family. Family as a basic unit of social fabric have been essential tenets of my philosophy. I have developed a duty to raising a healthy family in a God fearing environment and healthy marriage.
