Two Organizational Questions

•Categorize your current or past organization into one (1) of the five (5) most prevalent ethical climates discussed in the text. Analyze whether it is a centralized or decentralized structure. Examine the impact that the selected ethical climate and structure has on the organization’s culture. Justify your response.

The company where I worked before had rules ethical climate. With reference to Robbins, Judge (2015, p. 468), organizations which have the rules usually operate “by internal standardized expectations from, perhaps, an organizational policy manual”. Thus, we have a code of ethics which included the rules how employees should behave in different situations. For example, customer service managers should follow concrete procedure in conflict situations with clients.

The instructions included the description, how customer service managers should communicate, react to different situations, and what actions they could propose to customers. In my previous organization the centralized structure and rules climate provided employees with clear rules about their behavior and defined clearly the company’s targets, ethics, and vision. Since the important decisions were made by top management and each department had a code of conducts, there were no disagreements between employees.

Next, critique the online application process and site design to determine whether it would encourage or discourage job seekers to apply. Suggest two (2) recommendations to increase the site’s appeal to job seekers. Include the URL for the website that you selected.

According to Robbins, Judge (2015, p. 500), today most companies have career pages on their websites, as it makes the process of seeking applicants easier. It takes only few minutes for applicants to send a CV, resume or even video resumes to the HR managers. What is more, only applicants who are interested in the certain positions apply to the advertisements. They also have an …
