Abstract
Nowadays, the acts of genocide are considered to be the crime according to the Convention of the United Nations Organization. Despite this convention signed in 1948, numerous acts of atrocity took place around the world since that time, especially in Africa. The events in Rwanda and other areas of Africa showed that the United Nations cannot prevent and stop genocide that is why new measures should be taken in place. Such institution as the UN together with the will of politicians plays an important role in genocide recognition and prevention.
