The main goal of the article is draw the general publicity's attention to the apparent effects of climate change which is happening at rapid pace all over the globe. The author of the article accentuates the necessity of human intervention in saving forests because they cannot adapt to climate change accordingly without external assistance. Provided that human do their best to take care of forests, it will be still possible to produce
timber, protect themselves against various kinds of natural hazards and provide a recreational space.
At first glance, it may seem that the current article that focuses on Swiss forests has nothing to do with the UAE. However, it is absolutely necessary to finally understand that our world is a huge living organism and once any part of is damaged, it will yield negative effects on the whole globe to certain degree sooner or later. I agree with the author that there is an unquestionable need to intrude in the situation in order to solve at least most urgent forestry issues.
