Introduction

A facilitator is an individual tasked with leading the group meetings, they usually use the meeting's knowledge to drive the meeting and deliver structures during the meeting process for effectiveness. They normally take
a neutral stance during the meeting; they assume leadership in a meeting though they do not exercise authority. Facilitators ensure the group achieves the goals set through following various channels, methods, tools

Whereas an expert has a role of providing his advice when needed, especially in regards to the discussion he is facilitating.
The approach of facilitation is essential when an organisation has a concern of how and what decision has been made affecting it. A case scenario is when an organisation may decide to shift from a style of autocracy form of managing to one that is more participatory. Hence the manager may decide to be the facilitator so as to convince the staff into embracing it and being more involved (Janasz, 2015). Therefore in this situation, the manager becomes the facilitator instead of his traditional role decision making. Getting the decision of the staff equally essential just like the company's set goals and targets.

Roles of a facilitator in a business meeting
A facilitator ensures that in a meeting, the more experienced members do not dominate the less experienced members (Janasz, 2015). His role is not only limited to the meeting halls, he may continue his work out of the
meeting confinement to further push an agenda or get the necessary support from the key group members. Facilitators are important to organizations as they may easily influence the members to see things from his point of view and finally bringing the team on board to embrace the set goals for the organisation.
