Human Resource Management Exercise
Abstract
Coming to a new job, a person should, preferably in a short time, get involved in an unusual system of relationships and adopt new norms of behavior and communication. It is necessary to overcome production and interpersonal problems as soon as possible and move to stable work. With the management's serious attitude toward the problem of adaptation, the new employee begins to work effectively after the probationary period. Introduction to a new position means that you are in a sufficiently developed company, which pays special attention to the adaptation of newcomers to the team. In practice, HR department and the manager of a newcomer take a series of activities in order to speed up the process of his acquaintance with the company (people, corporate culture, technologies). With properly organized adaptation, the employee gets quickly incorporated into a new social group, his level of anxiety decreases, his resources are mainly directed to the work itself, and not to the search of any missing information or suffering from isolation. Consequently, effective adaptation is a motivating factor for both the employee and the employer.
