Organizational Analysis
Summary
Two structured interviews have been conducted with principal and staff member, focusing on the perspectives of an educational facility to maintain competitive advantage and meaningful experience on both short- and long-term. It was identified that two respondents follow the publicist and colloquial response style respectively, with the first applied by principal on more global vision of the company and the second – for more local purposes that explain the nature of global vision on applied level. Interview responses also pose some contradiction in two separate perceptions by interviewees, where principal sounds more positive on company’s reputation, and staff member is less confident on the success of everything they do.
Principal, for instance, considers that the meaningful experience is created by “support of colleagues and professional training assistance, while staff member explains this through “the very fact that he likes his work”. The theme of innovation is also seen differently, with principal being confident that “everything required is done for the informational and cultural exchange” and staff member being confident that “volunteering groups are the primary reason for the crucial changes in the curriculum”, but not government authorities or any other professional groups or communities. Another theme, which is participation in country’s educational framework is acknowledged only by the principal, who claims “establishing of the international exchange with several abroad companies “, while staff member hopes that the facility “at least would fulfill part of the long-standing plans”, where international exchange was not mentioned. In general, the prospective voiced by principal are also not fully supported by the staff member, since principal is confident on innovations and competitive advantage to be a part of the vision, while staff member is even not sure of new training curriculum to be established in September. To sum, there are contradictory points that require further analysis, presented in the consequent part of the memo.
SWOT Analysis
S: I would be reasonable to consider that the company has strong relationship on the staff level, since staff member mentioned that much actual work has been accomplished by volunteering groups who were motivated to work together. From the perspective of the four frames framework, it could be considered that human resources and symbolic frames are well established in this educational facility. For instance, staff member is confident that this is the work which one likes to do, even if not the best one, meaning that the motivation is rather intrinsic than extrinsic. Motivation here creates a positive working environment, where all thoughts and efforts are appreciated for a wider perspective of effective collaboration in teams. This point out appropriately developed culture of mutual understanding and support, being essential for internal human development and high level employee involvement.
W: Structural frame could be considered as a weakness of the analyzed educational facility based on the following considerations. First, at the current stage it is not seen whether principal and staff members have sufficient level …
