Pardon Letter
Dear Sir, I am writing this letter to support an application by Name Surname, my exe-husband, for a state pardon. He wishes to get your assurance that he will be allowed to enter back into the United States once he travels to Columbia.
Mr. Surname wishes to go to Columbia and see his family, especially his mother who has cancer and is very sick. I have known Name for 42 years, and I am confident to say that, Name is a good man. He pays his taxes, and he is a good father to his children. Name served a sentence in prison and thus our concern that he may be denied re-entry into the United States if he travels to Columbia. Mr. Surname recognizes and takes responsibility for the mistakes he committed leading to his imprisonment. I have discussed his action with him at length and he continues to apologize for his mistakes. It is my belief that he is a reformed man willing to renter society and contribute to development by encouraging ex-convicts to reform their ways. Name is a good father, and he takes his role as a family man seriously.
We hope that you will allow him to visit his mother with no consequences. I kindly ask you to use the power vested in you as governor and pardon Mr. Name Surname. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Sincerely,
Name Surname
New York Resident.
