Fashion has for a long time been a form of identification to one’s community, beliefs, and way of life. It is influenced by connection of individuals to their descent and in turns portrays them. Fashion enables people to express their acquaintances to their identity and way of life, since cloths provide the most intimate environment to people. Fashion enables people to connect, construct and express their identity (Fletcher & Tham, 2014). It helps individuals to be engaged to their culture and historic traits of their communities and those they are concerned with. The pyjama party was an event characterized by a strong sensational sense and propagating an exceptional identity owed from its Italian souvenirs and sixties tourism. It involved a surfeit of brightly coloured pyjamas and dresses (Dolce & Gabbana, 2016a). The pyjama fashion was related to the Italian fashion which is one of the simplest styles in the western culture. It is hence used by people to express either their relation to the Italian culture or the simple relaxed style. Since other there is a large group of people who are affiliated to the Western culture, other people are likely to assimilate the styler to fit to the lifestyle of their likes. It is thus a means of fitting into the ways of other people who share their ways and descents. They use it to identify with other people in their community and gain a common trait through fashion. It is a way of belonging to the people of their descent and fitting into their ways. Clothing is such meaningful in the way people fit into the culture of their communities.The Italian fashion is simple and has and has a sophistication of colour. Their clothes reflected a greater attentiveness of the body and was composed a remarkable sensuality. They advocated for a more individualistic approach through the application of different pieces and colours. The Italian fashion was more inclined to association with a relaxed life and differed from other styles that were fit for people of class and power. The style was a form of liberation from the rigidity of the aristocratic life and succeeded in rooting it in the middle class people (Reich, 2004).
Hence, as seen form the above images, the pyjamas take on diffferent colours and become an excellent way of identity expression to the Italian culture which is a part of the larger English culture and western lifestyle. …
