Introduction

Basically, the term globalization refers to the interaction and integration among the companies, businesses and different states on the basis of economic expansion or international trade as well as the investments. This is always backed up by the advancements in the technology as the primary drive to achieving the international trade gains. This process of interacting and integrating has massive effects on diversified aspects of the countries such as the culture, political systems, and the economic development (Zha,19). In addition, the resources and, the general well-being of the citizens in the involving countries are also impacted.

Globalization has not started in the recent centuries; it has a long history where it is traced back in the trading between the central Asia and the china connection in the time of the Silk Road Trading activities. In essence, globalization has been drastically transformed by policies and advancements in the information technology which in turn has remodeled the economic lives of the people in the countries. Conclusively, globalization is the process through which different countries, continents and large businesses interact through cross cultural integration in terms of sharing products, ideas and culture. The economy and politics of a country play a major role in determining a country’s commitment in engaging in a foreign country in business or any other form of international activities. The success or failure of any undertaking towards globalization dependents on a mutual respect of the sovereignty of different nations and the goodwill of all the participating entities. Therefore, for a country to make a commitment to any undertaking, it requires to consider some factors. The first thing to consider would be whether the undertaking promotes the National interests of the country in question as well as providing a positive stimulus to a country’s economy. Like any relationship, globalization faces immense challenges especially when one country or party feels undermined with regards to its vested interests. However, a successful globalization should offer a wide array of advantages for all parties involved.

East Asia

East Asia is a major benefactor of globalization. This is justified by the ever growing and thriving economies in the region. This growth is a direct result of globalization. East Asia enjoys the luxury of having massive exports, foreign investment and an improved social welfare. This growth has come at a price, forcing the region to abandon the once adopted business model by countries in the region; thereby adopting globalization which has by far proven to be a much better and more effective mode of operation("Globalization and Development in East Asia" 28).

However, the success or failure of globalization lies solely in the hands of leaders and citizens of East Asia.
