Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to conduct SWOT analysis for the author's life as it relates to Cultural Intelligence. In addition, the author will evaluate four to five Cultural Intelligence, CQ for short, practices which an organization can implement which can foster a results-oriented environment yet encourages multicultural understanding from employee groups. There are many people who graduated with distinction, but they did not succeed in their family and professional lives. On the other hand, there are many people who had very low grades and did not complete their studies, but they succeeded with distinction in their careers with their families, and in their professional lives. This does not mean that education is not important, but people need acumen which is higher than intellect to meet the needs of their lives. People need to know that there are different types of personalities and know how to interact with each type and with others professionally and intelligently.
One of the instructors told her students that people have to remember that when they drive themselves, they must use their minds, but when they drive others, they must use their emotions and feelings. For these reasons, the author will conduct a SWOT analysis for herself as it relates to Cultural Intelligence. In addition, she will evaluate four to five CQ practices that an organization can implement which can foster a results-oriented environment yet encourages multicultural understanding from employee groups.SWOT analysis is an acronym for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threat. It is an organized list of one's greatest strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. It offers a high-level evaluation, and it is helpful to identify characteristics and strategies for success. Strengths and Weaknesses are internal origins to a company or a person. They show the abilities that anyone has. On the other hand, Opportunities and Threats are external, and they show the influence and the effects of the external environment. In general, this analysis is displayed in a matrix consisting of two rows and two columns as shown in the following picture (Masters, 2013). Personal SWOT Analysis for Cultural IntelligenceIn the first section of this paper, the author will conduct the SWOT Analysis on herself to explain it more with more details after she did a CQ and EI tests. When she did a CQ test, she got a high score which is 74 out of 100.
The tester asked her to do an EI test, so she can know her score and put them together to know her strengths and try to improve them. Then, she knew the following information about herself.
