Paloma admitted that setting goals with employees she tries to encourage and support everyone to do his best. It is also important to talk with the employees so that to understand his situation and motives. It is important always to support and talk to the employees, maintain equality, and to create friendly atmosphere. Thus, Pamela believes that in tough situation communication in person is important.

The way employees embrace the team concept is vital for the quality of their performance. The hospitality industry is greatly dependent on effective and cooperative teamwork. Paloma admits that the employees, being encouraged to speak up, talk and discuss their problems, have managed to embrace the team concept that bases on equality and cooperation.

Do you reward recognition system for hotel teams?

Pamela admitted to use financial reward as an incentive to encourage better performance of the team members, which is basically an effective way to motivate employees as, according to Sturman and Ford, financial reward can satisfy both financial needs and recognition needs. Financial rewards would be even more effective if the non-financial ways of recognition were also applied (Sturman and Ford 8), which is practiced at Anaheim Camelot as Pamela admits that she always uses the opportunity to point out the positive points.

A mission statement is a powerful source of motivation for hotel team directing them towards the changes and goals the hotel expects to accomplish, strengthening the corporate culture and the values of the organization.
