People for Animal’s Welfare Society
It is necessary to say that the main target of the People for Animal’s Welfare Society (PAWS) is to attract people who love animals, have pets or want to meet similarly minded people and raise awareness for different issues connected with animal welfare. After operating for six months, the students who organized PAWS realized that they could make a marked and discernible impact upon the welfare of animals only by increasing resource allocation and availability of the funds.
Therefore, the primary task for PAWS at the current instant is to raise the awareness about their group and find financial support for the organization. For increasing the awareness about the group, PAWS designs a 5- point approach including an event, a promotional video, website, social media (Facebook, Instagram) and policy of the company. Thus, PAWS plans to conduct the event “Thanks Buying Bazaar”, a charity sale event, held in UTS for increasing the popularity of PAWS in UTS students, attracting more students to be a member of PAWS, and raising more donation for PAWS and future activities. The creation of a website will allow placing interesting online resource and be informing the potential members about the objectives and purposes of the society. Then, a video will be a real evidence of the work of the society, while the policy document of the society will give an opportunity for PAWS to define the organization clearly, highlight the aims, purposes, and visions in a formal manner.
It will help PAWS show different stakeholders that it is a serious organization with serious targets. What is more, it allows PAWS sets the ways of development of the society. Finally, the communication with such social media as Facebook and Instagram will give an opportunity to attract the attention of the great number of pets lovers and cooperate with other animal welfare organizations through the internet.
